Fresh Clean Threads Melissa Parvis launched Fresh Clean Tees in the guest bedroom of her San Diego home alongside her business partner and husband, Matthew Parvis, in 2015. The couple initially began Fresh Clean Tees as a hobby in which they could marry her expertise in product development with Matthew’s background in content strategy and marketing. Today, as Fresh Clean Threads’ President, Melissa has launched their proprietary cotton-poly fabric blend, StratuSoft to guarantee Fresh Clean Tees’ shirts are unlike any other on the market. She is responsible for sourcing the highest quality fabrics and dyes, innovating new t-shirt fabrics and styles, and ensuring all partner factories are WRAP-certified and that the brand is actively working toward their sustainability initiatives. She also oversees Fresh Clean Threads’ recruiting efforts alongside her husband and CEO. A seasoned industry leader, Melissa served as Product Developer at several action sports brands, designed apparel and styled professional athletes with Elevee Custom Clothiers and was Hurley’s Technical Designer, before serving as an independent product developer, merchandising and creative direction consultant for six years, which led to the creation of Fresh Clean Threads, formerly known as Fresh Clean Tees. Prior to joining the apparel industry, she graduated with a Degree in Product Development from FIDM after receiving her bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University.
