Meet Nadiratou Afolabi, Miss Togo 2024, who will represent Togo at the 73rd Miss World Festival, in 2026

One year after being crowned Miss Togo 2025, Nadiratou Afolabi is approaching the end of her national reign and preparing to represent Togo at the 73rd Miss World Festival next year. Elected in Lomé on 14 December 2024, Afolabi stood out for her cultural awareness and strong commitment to education. Today, at 22 years old and in her third year of modern literature studies, the young woman from Sokodé has completed a highly active year as her country’s goodwill ambassador. And this journey she continue, as she’s getting ready to represent Togo at the 73rd Miss World Festival. IMG_1869 One of the highlights of Afolabi’s year was the official launch of her Beauty With a Purpose project on 15 May 2025 at the Lycée de Cinkassé, in the far north of the country. Her chosen theme, “Schooling / Empowerment of Young Girls and Public Sanitation”, reflects her belief that education and dignity are the foundation of long-term development. The ceremony, attended by regional administrative, traditional and military authorities, marked the start of a concrete, large-scale initiative, which she has been taking very seriously. In front of more than 1,400 students, Afolabi distributed essential educational materials, including a printer and ink cartridges, exam-preparation booklets, chalk-based teaching tools, geometry instruments, a globe, maps for geography and history classes, and learning aids for life and earth sciences (SVT). The resources were donated to strengthen the academic environment of the Lycée de Cinkassé. IMG_1867 Throughout the past twelve months, Afolabi has worked to champion Togolese culture and promote youth empowerment across the country. As she prepares to pass on her national title this December, she will now fully dedicate herself to her international preparations ahead of the Miss World Festival. She will be the third woman to represent Togo at Miss World, succeeding Nathalie Yao-Amuama, who represented Togo with pride at the 72nd Miss World Festival in May of 2025, in Telangana, India.
